Donation Coordinator - draft description
In general, the Donation Coordinator will encourage, accept and start processing donations to PPM:
Encourage donations
- Define what donations we can/cannot use (no CRTs, no clogged inkjet printers, for example)
- Stay familiar with what's on our Wish List
- Monitor Craigslist and/or Facebook Marketplace for free stuff
Accept donations
- Stay in contact with potential donors that are "on the fence"
- Meet and greet donors when they drop stuff off, if possible
- Coordinate pick up of donations, if necessary
- Give / send tax receipts to those who want them
Process donations (with help of Area Captains)
- Post descriptions here on Donations Received
- Distribute items into appropriate areas
- Photograph items that go into service, post to our wiki
- Store other items
Rinse and repeat
The Donation Coordinator will not be responsible for repairing items, or pursuing grants, but is welcome to help in these areas, of course!
