What Is a QR Code?

A QR Code, short for “Quick Response Code”, is an advanced type of scannable 2D matrix barcode (a square).

It can code up to about 1000 characters, far more than a linear barcode (such as a UPC.)

What Is Quishing?

"Quishing" is a combination of the phrases "QR code" and "phishing".

It is a method of attack that attempts to trick a computer user with a QR Code that actually leads to a fraudulent web site (to intercept login information or install malicious software).
